SWORN IN TO SERVE THE PEOPLE OF IDEMILI SOUTH.
A new chapter of service has begun for Idemili South, following my official swearing-in as Mayor of the Local Government Area by the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR, at the Lighthouse, Awka.
Alongside my Deputy, Hon. Mrs Ifeyinwa Ejiofor, and other newly inaugurated Local Government leaders across the state, I took the oath of office with a deep sense of gratitude and an even greater appreciation of the responsibility entrusted to us.
The charge from Mr Governor was clear: as the closest tier of government to the people, we must remain responsive, accessible, and accountable to our communities. We must also ensure that the broader vision of the Solution Agenda is translated into practical results that people can see and experience at the grassroots, in our communities, markets, schools, healthcare facilities, roads, and other areas that directly affect everyday life.

I am grateful to God, to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), our leaders and supporters, and most importantly, to the people of Idemili South whose confidence has made this moment possible.
I am also mindful of what it means to take the baton at this point in the history of our local government. Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi (Iyom Ifeabata) has left behind important footprints of service, and I acknowledge the work of her administration with respect and appreciation.
Our task now is not to compete with the past but to build on what has been achieved, strengthen what works, and bring fresh energy, ideas, and purpose to the work ahead.
With my Deputy, our councillors, the local government workforce, and the people of Idemili South, we will approach this responsibility with discipline, collaboration, accountability, and a clear commitment to measurable results.
The mandate has been formally received.
The responsibility is accepted.
The work begins.
Idemili South is Rising—From the Grassroots to Greatness.
