Official Kick-off of the Idemili South Healthy Living Sports Competition
Today, I had the privilege of witnessing the official kick-off of the Idemili South Healthy Living Sports Competition at the Council Secretariat Field, Ojoto.
The initiative, put together by our hardworking Mayor, Hon. Mrs. Amaka Obi (Iyom Ifeabata), is a timely reminder that good health should never be taken for granted. It also aligns with the vision of the amiable First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo, whose Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo campaign continues to inspire healthier lifestyles across the state.

The competition featured a range of sporting activities and fitness exercises, all geared towards encouraging our people to stay active and take better care of their health. It was encouraging to see such enthusiasm from participants and supporters alike.

I sincerely appreciate our Mayor, Hon. Amaka Obi, for bringing this initiative to Idemili South. It is another example of the people-centred programmes that continue to make a difference in our local government.

We were also honoured by the presence of the Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike; the Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, His Youthfulness Patrick Agha-Mba; the Member representing Idemili South in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Ebuka Igwe; former APGA House of Assembly aspirant, Hon. Donatus Ngige; and many other distinguished guests.

Under the enabling leadership of our dear Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, Idemili South continues to benefit from programmes that improve lives and strengthen our communities. We remain committed to building on these gains and ensuring that our people continue to enjoy meaningful development.
Indeed, Idemili South is rising from the grassroots to greatness.
