Leaving No One Behind: Our Commitment to Inclusive Governance

Today, I had the pleasure of hosting the National Convener of the Inclusive Democratic Vanguard (IDV), Dr. Confidence Onyeka Chukwuemezie, at my residence in Nnobi.

Dr. Chukwuemezie, a native of Alor, is the founder of the Confidence Visionary Scholars Foundation (CVSF), an organization that has continued to champion inclusive governance and greater participation in the democratic process, particularly for persons with disabilities across Nigeria.

A distinguished scholar with a PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies, he also served as the National Campaign Director for Persons with Disabilities during the 2023 presidential election, where he played a significant role in promoting political inclusion and breaking down barriers to participation.

Our discussion centered on the need to continue protecting and advancing the rights of persons with disabilities as guaranteed under the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act, 2018. I reaffirmed my commitment to building an administration in Idemili South that carries everyone along and creates opportunities for all, including members of the disability community.

This commitment aligns with the vision of our governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, whose Solution Agenda places strong emphasis on building an inclusive and livable Anambra State where every citizen, regardless of circumstance, can access opportunities and contribute meaningfully to society.

I sincerely appreciate Dr. Chukwuemezie for taking the time to visit and share his insights. I look forward to continued engagement and collaboration as we work towards a more inclusive society for all.

Indeed, Idemili South is rising from the grassroots to greatness.

Hon. Oluchukwu Ilogbenu (Olutek)
APGA Mayoral Candidate, Idemili South LGA.
