Building a Stronger Idemili South Through Skill Acquizition Training.
Yesterday marked another significant point in the development journey of Idemili South Local Government as the administration of our capacity mayor, Hon. Mrs. Amaka Obi (Iyom Ifeabata), officially flagged off another phase of the Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Programme aimed at equipping 1,000 beneficiaries with practical and income-generating skills.
The programme, which was flagged off by the Honourable Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports in Anambra State, Mr. Patrick Agha-Mba, covers a wide range of vocational areas, including bakery and confectionery, hairdressing, tailoring and fashion design, painting, leather works, and several other trades that have the potential to transform lives and create sustainable livelihoods.
This initiative is a deliberate investment in the future of our people and a bold commitment to human capital development. By providing our youths and residents with relevant skills, the administration of Iyom Ifeabata is laying a solid foundation for economic self-reliance and community growth.
Idemili South has continued to distinguish itself through purposeful and people-oriented leadership. We remain committed to consolidating on the gains already recorded and sustaining the momentum of progress across all sectors. We firmly believe that the greatest asset of any society is its people, and empowering them with knowledge and skills remains one of the most effective pathways to lasting development.
We will continue to invest in the future of our youth by creating opportunities that enable them to become productive and valuable contributors to society. Through programmes such as this, we are not only combating unemployment but also nurturing a generation of entrepreneurs and community builders.
This laudable initiative aligns perfectly with the vision and ideals of the Solution Agenda of our performing governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, whose administration continues to champion policies that promote empowerment, productivity, creativity, and inclusive development across Anambra State.
