Yesterday 13th March 2026, I had the honour of meeting with the First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Mrs. Nonye Soludo. Our conversation was both enlightening and inspiring as we exchanged perspectives on governance, social inclusion, sustainable development, and the urgent need to expand opportunities for our people, especially women and young persons.

Dr. Nonye Soludo remains a shining example of compassionate advocacy. Her passion for women’s empowerment and healthy living continues to resonate far beyond the boundaries of Anambra. Through her Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo Initiative, she has successfully ignited a culture of wellness across communities, encouraging citizens to embrace healthier lifestyles and more responsible habits for a stronger society.

During our discussion, I deeply appreciated her thoughtful insights and practical counsel on leadership and the importance of building upon existing achievements. Her words on commitment and the need to consolidate the gains already recorded in Idemili South by the incumbent and Workaholic Mayor, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi (Iyom Ifeabata), were particularly profound, and I have taken that advice to heart.

I reaffirmed to Her Excellency my long-standing conviction that every position one occupies in life presents an opportunity to create meaningful and lasting impact. As I continue to aspire to serve as Mayor of Idemili South LGA, that principle remains the compass guiding my actions.

Coming shortly after the commemoration of the 2026 International Women’s Day, her powerful message continues to echo strongly: “When you empower one woman, you empower a generation.” These words capture a fundamental truth, as every woman deserves access to opportunities and the support needed to contribute fully to society.

The meeting was truly enriching, and I am grateful to our amiable First Lady, Dr. Nonye Soludo, for the warm reception and the opportunity to engage in such a meaningful dialogue. I also extend my sincere appreciation to our hardworking Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR (Oluatuegwu I of Anambra), whose visionary leadership and the enduring drive of the Solution Agenda continue to propel our dear state toward remarkable progress.
