A JOYFUL VISIT FROM THE NIGERIAN RED CROSS CHILDREN’S HOME, NNEWI.
Today, I was filled with tremendous joy as children from the Nigerian Red Cross Society Children’s/Orphanage Home, Nnewi, paid me a special visit at my residence in Nnobi following my emergence as the Mayor-Elect of Idemili South Local Government Area.
The children, led by the Matron of the Home, Mrs Grace Ezechukwu, brought an atmosphere of love and happiness that I will cherish deeply.
Since my formative years, I have always made it a point to celebrate my birthdays in orphanages and children’s homes. For me, it has always been about sharing my joy with children who deserve to know that they are loved. I have always believed that every child deserves an opportunity to dream, to feel valued, and to look into the future with hope.

That is why today’s visit was particularly meaningful to me. Spending time with these wonderful children, listening to them, sharing moments of laughter, and seeing their beautiful smiles gave me a profound sense of fulfilment.
As I prepare to assume the responsibility of serving as Mayor of Idemili South, I am reminded that leadership is ultimately about people, especially those who may not always have a strong voice or the means to speak for themselves. We must therefore build a society where every child, regardless of circumstance, can have access to education, care, dignity, and the opportunity to fulfill their potential.
I immensely appreciate our visionary Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR (Oluatuegwu), for his purposeful leadership and for creating the enabling environment that has made this new chapter of service possible. I remain deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of Anambra State.
I also extend my heartfelt appreciation to Mama Anambra, the First Lady of Anambra State, Dr. Nonye Soludo, for her remarkable compassion and the numerous interventions she has championed for indigent Ndi Anambra, vulnerable families, and children across the state.
To the Nigerian Red Cross Society Children’s/Orphanage Home, Nnewi, I say a very big thank you for this beautiful and memorable visit. You brought immense joy to my home today, and I am truly grateful.
As I look forward to assuming office, I reiterate my commitment to making deliberate and meaningful investments in the future of our children in Idemili South. Our children are the treasures of today, and their welfare must remain a collective responsibility.
May God continue to bless and protect every child, and may He give us the wisdom and capacity to build a future where no child is forgotten.
Indeed, Idemili South is rising from the grassroots to greatness.
