ANAMBRA STATE @ 35: CELEBRATING OUR JOURNEY, HONOURING OUR HEROES.

Today, we celebrate 35 years of resilience, enterprise, courage, innovation, and collective determination. We celebrate Ndi Anambra, our mothers and fathers, our leaders, our professionals, entrepreneurs, farmers, artisans, youths, and every citizen whose contributions, in one way or another, have helped build the Anambra we proudly call home.

We particularly honour our heroes past and present, those who stood firm, made sacrifices, took difficult decisions, and devoted themselves to the progress and development of our dear state. Their courage and commitment remind us that every generation has a responsibility to build upon the foundations laid by those before it.

As the great John F. Kennedy famously reminded us, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country.”

That spirit of patriotism, sacrifice, and service remains deeply relevant to the Anambra story. Our resilience as Ndi Anambra is not merely about what we have achieved but also about our willingness to contribute and build a better homeland for generations yet unborn.

On this special occasion, we also celebrate our Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, for embodying the full spirit of Onye Anambra and leading from the front in the task of making Anambra a more prosperous, livable and economically vibrant homeland through his Solution Agenda. His vision continues to reinforce the belief that Anambra can and must shine even brighter as the Light of the Nation.

Today, we congratulate every Onye Anambra, at home and in the diaspora, as we celebrate 35 years of our collective journey of building and transformation. May we continue to honour our past, strengthen our present, and boldly build our future.

Happy 35th Anniversary to our dear Anambra State.

Indeed, Idemili South is rising from the grassroots to greatness.

Hon. Oluchukwu Ilogbenu (Olutek)
